MK8-LCM is a lighting control module based on the VESC-EXPRESS platform which fits directly on top of the MK8 & MK8-PRO.
Future firmware update should unlock additional BMS related capabilities, such as monitoring cells + temperatures over ISOSPI and using I2C for external peripherals e.g.: humidity & current sensors, switches, etc.
Description:
Integrated buck converter, 50V to 150V input
3 x LED outputs (up to 3A@5V or 2A@12V combined)
2 x Isolated CAN bus
Logic shift 3.3V->5V for light signals
USB-C, ISOSPI, I2C/UART, Bluetooth, WiFi
Hibernation current: less than 35uA
Options:
Built-in or external antenna
5V or 12V outputs (resistor swap for selecting voltage level for each LED output)
How to use:
Mount onto the MK8 or MK8-PRO top opening with 4 x M2 screws
Plug the JST XH power input
Link CAN bus with VESC
Turn VESC ON (MK8-LCM requires VESC ON to operates)
Configure over USB or Bluetooth with VESC-Tool
Install syler's float_accessories package and configure your LED outputs
Use LED outputs with your preferred lighting strips
Use ISOSPI & I2C ports for BMS operation
